Provide contextual feedback messages for typical user actions with the handful of available and flexible alert messages.
A default gray alert wouldn't make too much sense, so you're required to specify a type with the severity attribute. Choose from success, info, warning, or danger.
The title
attribute is optional and will add a title to the Alert.
The b:alert tag is a container you can put arbitrary JSF and HTML code in:
value
vs. contentYou can use the attribute value
to put a simple text into the alert body. Alternatively,
you can put the content between the opening <b:alert />
and the closing </b:alert />
tag.
This allows for arbitrary complex content.
You can make Alerts dismissable adding closable="true"
:
Click the cross on the right to get rid of the message.
Caveat: This is a feature that works with Bootstrap 3 but may break with Bootstrap 4. Use at own risk.
BootsFaces doesn't restrict the severity
parameters to the five values defined by Bootstrap. So you can define
your own alert type.
